Pipette painting is a fun process art activity! With different fabrics as the canvas, kids can learn color science while strengthening fine motor skills!
画一个星星给我 (Draw Me a Star) is a beautiful picture book by Eric Carle. We read this book and then applied what we learned! Both kids had a blast dot painting, and I helped my daughter draw & cut the stars. Every star turned out to be beautiful and unique!
Water painting is a fun outdoor activity for learning sight words, such as Chinese characters! To review words related to rain, my daughter traced each character in chalk raindrops with a wet paintbrush.
This activity is the perfect combination of nature, art, recess, and Chinese learning. We collected leaves from the park, discussed Autumn in Chinese, and traced the leaves with paint around important Chinese characters.
We had fun reinforcing the Chinese character 滴 (dī / drip, drop) with q-tip painting. Putting the characters into context is the best way to learn!
Painting, stamping, upcycling, and learning all in one! We put our art smocks on and had fun stamping and enjoying Chinese numbers!
