Welcome to our Activities Library!

What does your child want to learn today?

As you browse the site, my best advice is to start with what your child loves. This menu is organized by topic so that you can conveniently find teaching ideas related to your child’s interests.

Hands-on learning for all languages

Please note that most examples feature Chinese activities, the language that I speak with my children.  The activities have a literacy focus, because I created them when my daughter was learning to read Chinese.

Our other family languages – Korean and English – may be included in some activities. However, kids’ activities can often be adapted to focus on speaking skills, other languages, and the level of your child.

If you aren’t sure where to begin, please read our How-To Guide for activities that encourage minority languages in a fun, interactive way!

Hi Jean, thank you for your kind words. I have just resent the Welcome Letter with the Printables Library information. Please let me know if you have received it and if I can help with anything else.

Thank You! love your website. I just ordered the Chinese writing character cards from China Sprout. I will use them next month in my Montessori Classroom for our study of China and Chinese New Year.

你好! I’m so glad I found your website! My family and I (native English speakers) are moving to China this summer, and I’ve been looking for ways to teach my kids – and myself – Chinese. Your website is so helpful! Thank you!
