Learning Yin-Yang with Weather Stickers
YIN-YANG: 阴 (yīn / cloudy) and 阳 (yáng / light, sunny), two opposing yet complementary and interdependent forces of nature. 阴阳 is most commonly know in the Western world by the ☯ symbol.
Today we focused on the weather meaning of each character and placed stickers in stroke order. Eventually, we will delve into the symbolism of 阴阳 – feminine versus masculine, negative versus positive, etc.
What to do:
- Print 阴 on blue paper and 阳 on yellow paper
- Draw a cloud above 阴 and the sun above 阳 with puffy paint.
- Affix cloud stickers to 阴 character and sun stickers to 阳 character
